The Multi-Purpose Canine Trainer course was developed to instruct the student on the base initial training of a multi-purpose canine. This course is designed to teach individuals the necessary skills to effectively train a canine with multiple capabilities which include Patrol Functions, Detection, and Tracking capabilities. Handlers are instructed through a fast-paced, challenging course with assigned canine that includes academics, practical exercises, operational and high-threat scenarios. Canines will be trained to detect explosives or narcotics as designated by requirement, perform basic patrol and tracking functions. (Student/Instructor ratio 1:5)
